ROLE OVERVIEW

Formed in Edinburgh in 2016, Quorum Cyber is an award-winning, fast-growing and prominent provider of professional and managed cyber security services to organisations worldwide.

We currently have an opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our Professional Services team, focusing on the delivery of Cyber Security assessment and advisory services.

Job Purpose

This is a mid-senior/senior role who will report to the Advisory team lead and be expected to operate semi-autonomously to deliver multiple simultaneous engagements, while also supporting internal initiatives to help develop the Advisory team’s service offering.

The Role Will Include:

  • Delivery of Cyber Security framework-led security maturity assessments / health checks

  • Presentation of identified risks, along with prioritised recommendations for remediation

  • Development of organisational threat profiles using Mitre Att&ck, and other frameworks

  • Support with the development of Cyber Security strategy, policies, and procedures

  • Playing the role of “trusted advisor” on multiple domains of Information/Cyber Security, per your previous experience / field of expertise

  • Identification of client business drivers for Cyber Security, to help frame the advice provided

Skills & Qualities

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background (5 years +) in Information/Cyber Security as a discipline, or sufficient exposure to Security and Risk Management within another Senior IT role

  • Demonstrable skills in consultancy (client facing or internal)

  • Previous experience with Information/Cyber Security frameworks (NCSC 10 Steps, NIST CSF, CIS Top 20 etc)

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders

  • Proficient in the fundamentals of IT

  • Strong written English and oral communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience with security compliance and audit activities

  • Previous experience with threat modelling

  • Prior experience in an operational security or IT environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly in terms of the available security capabilities, but also in terms of the common security challenges
